Made more famous in the last Olympics by world famous swimmer Michael Phelps showed his cupping marks on TV. This modality uses glass suction cups to relieve pain and deep seated discomfort in the body. Likened to getting a full body massage in a third of the time, the effects are immediate and longer lasting than traditional deep tissue massage. The experience should never be painful, but can cause some marks to appear after the session when treating pain. Marks last no longer than a week, if they appear at all.
